Yamaha Mixers

I'm getting ready to buy a mixer and the 2 I'm considering are the. I like the 4 buss of the MG/12 but I think the 2 buss MG/10 will probably do me fine. I know most here like and use berry's, but they don't carry those at our music store so I'm looking at the yamaha's.

MG10/2 service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear

and the MG12/4 service.bfast.com/bfast/c...mp;bfmtype=gear

I've read some good things about them and though they are a bit more vs the equivilent Berringer most reviews have said they are a bit better. Anyone have any negatives about the yamaha's?

The only beef I have ever had with their gear was they had a bit more noise then I care for, but that was a while ago as well. they may have improved them by now. I used to use their live gear in the 70's and found it allright. then I switched to Kelsey boards for live stuff. The only thing I know about their new stuff is the sliders have a tendancy to get sticky after time.

thanks noize that's good to know. I'm going to research a bit more. I may end up ordering something from MF, but I really like to give my local music store first shot. :)
