ok, I just got ripped for $20, 8 of that for shipping. It took 27 days for this guy to ship my stupid power inverter, and when I finally get it - after having him ignore my emails for days - the damn thing doesn't work. But ooooh, lucky me, I can ship it back at my expense and get a refund for only the bid price. Which makes it basically a waste of my time...
Sorry all, just ranting a little. I still swear by eBay, but I'll probably factor negative seller feedback posts into my buying decisions more. grrr

Feb 27, 2004 11:59 am Yeah, I know how you feel about them... I usually have nothing but great luck on there, but this last guy, and the guy a while back who sold me the Matrix: Reloaded, are bad sellers. Well, I did get a smile when I last looked at the movie guy's feedback page to see how many people he'd ripped off and there was a notice saying "no longer a registered user." :) hahahaha It all catches up to you eventually...
Feb 27, 2004 12:03 pm How did it catch up him? He still has your money and other people's money, he bailed out (or got kicked out) of eBay, but he still ripped everyone off. "Catching up with him" would be a frickin 2x4 up side his damn head.

Feb 27, 2004 12:11 pm i hear you... i got took for about $160 over some hard drives but my bandmates were HAD! out about 8k... yeah. They were trying to buy 2 Mackie D8B boards from some guy in singapore, and they trusted the guy enough to make the deal outside of ebay. 'nuff said.
don't trust anyone. keep the transactions within ebay and if you use PayPal then make sure you pay the extra few bucks for the fraud protection.
Feb 27, 2004 12:13 pm trusting 8k to deal with a guy your don't know from another country...uuummmm, recipe for trouble. It sucks though.

Feb 27, 2004 12:16 pm yeah, they were blinded by the "sweet deal" thinking that they could sell one to keep the other.

Feb 29, 2004 08:18 pm I sold My 78 Jeep on German E-Bay. And I actively sell and buy on E-bay. I had a guy not 100% satisfied with an Item he got from me so I Reimbursed him the original shipping and item cost plus the shipping cost to send it back to me.That is what they should have done for you TCB. I guess there are just two kinds of people on there. Honest people and the other ones
