I'm going to be recording onto and xp machine with sonar 3 producer. What I need to know is what is the best way to connect my mixer to the computer. I've been told to connect it from the main outs on the board, but in the delta 44 manual it shows the guitars/mics going into the "ins" of the delta and the mixer going from the "outs". I'm a little confused.
(My mixer is a behringer mx2442a)
thx

Jan 24, 2004 02:52 pm if you look at the pic in the manual there's a preamp/direct box between the guitar and mics and the delta 44. they're trying to get you to buy the m-audio audio buddy. if you have the behringer mixer you don't need a separate preamp. (not yet anyways). For now it should go:
mics/instruments > mixer > delta 44 > then back into mixer

Jan 25, 2004 06:53 pm Hook the sub outs 1,2,3,4 into the inputs of the Delta 44, then you can assign them from whichever inputs you wish to record fromthe desk. You can hook the outputs as you wish, I run all 4 of mine into the desk on the stereo input channels as I usually only use them for playback. I have them available to be routed to a patch bay if I need to track through a processor or something, or onto two track or whatever.
