hi, i've just got back from music live, along with a new boom mic stand and a new mic. annoyingly the mic clip supplied with the mic doesn't fit the stand. anyone know where you can buy mic clips?

Nov 23, 2003 07:08 pm There are, generally speaking, two types of mic stand "screw" - a phat one and a thin one - why there isn't just one universal standard on such a menial thing, you and I will never know.
Converters can be purchased incredibly cheaply which litteraly act to make the stand screw convert down (or up) to the right size.
Just ask for one at your local music shop.

Nov 23, 2003 07:11 pm Flame, checked his bio. Hes from Warrington, Cheshire. You better set him straight on were to go there. I belive jues also has a few places you can check with. Pity MF doesnt ship world wide, it would be great for you guys over there.
Hey now, jues posted while I was typing.
Nov 24, 2003 12:12 pm Jues, wouldn't it cost about the same amount to buy an adaptor as it would just to buy a new mic clip?
mccarty, did you try buying a clip where you bought the mic and the stand? I bet they might have one...
