well.. update... after messing around with it for a few hours ive noticed these few things. like i said.. i have the rackmount version.. so its a little more in depth with the variety of outputs. the usb is nice. very nice. and of course its to good to be true for me. because i cant freaking use the pod and the aardvark at the same time in sonar. YAY. gotta love that. it acts as a stand alone soundcard.. and for some reason i can only select 1 soundcard at a time now? maybe its the 2.2 upgrade... or they cant run simultaniously with the asio driver? somethings messed up. i used monster interlink 100s for the s/pdif connection and it works good.. a little noise.. but not much. that wont hurt it right? these cables supprort this connection? sorry.. ive also been drinking these past few hours so pardon the ramble of questions.. just really interested in making this work out..

no way, that doesn't make sense. I'm running the old Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 and it lets me choose as many sound cards as a I want. You just have to go into the prefferences and choose which drivers to have active. Then in each track's properties you choose which ins and outs it will use. I have two soundcars on my computer and the Delta gets treated as two, but then cakewalk further treats each stereo pair and three separate input possibilities (left, right, and stereo), so I've got a zillion things to choose from when i record.

and as for any noise in the s/pdif, it's not the cable. the noise was just already there in the POD before it ever went digital.

i have the q10.. and sonar wont let me use the q10 and the pro and simultanious sound cards. and as for the noise.. the hiss went away.... but now im getting some nasty pops? i made sure all connections were the same.. this is getting confusing.

increasing your latency may remove the pops...but it will, well, increase your latency...

I didn't tell you anything other than to TRY it...loosing time may not be that big of a deal as sonar is pretty good at compensating for latency.

have you ran the wave profiler since you added a new audio device?
