Oct 25, 2003 03:24 pm I listened to this last night.
Overall not a bad mix. The vocals were a bit overpowering with possibly a bit to much treble in the mix, and you might want to give the acoustic guitar a bit more presence. I haven't been doing this long enough to get specific with EQ ranges to boost/cut, so you'll have to just experiment <g>
The electric guitar in the background sounded out of tune to me and had a bad tone. I don't think it's really needed for the song, but if you want it in there, I would completely redo that part.
I thought the song was very good.

Oct 25, 2003 03:49 pm I can relate to the speaker thingy <G> The little bit of feedback I've managed to get on my latest is it's perfect, too much hi's, too much low's, not enough low's, not enough hi's...
I'm one cornfused puppy! LOL

Oct 27, 2003 10:42 am Listening to it now. It's very hard for me to get a feel for this song because the vocals are loud and the music is mellow and has a low volume. Do you compress your signals?
From what I hear I like it alright, but personally speaking it's a little too mellow and unchanging for my taste.

Oct 28, 2003 07:30 am Well the crow song is gone- back to the basement of my dreary mind for more time in the oven. but dont despair... a couple of weeks ago i did a scrapper tune (quicky with guitar/voc on same track) and figured i couldnt make it sound the way i wanted so i sent it to crash to see what he could do. i just put it up here, this is just the ideas coming together, i think we got a keeper, now its time to start from scratch and do it right. and i got an idea for the percussion on this. me with keys and lighter and change and smokes in my pockets tapping my legs with the mic pointing at my thingy. dont know if it'll work but im gonna try it.
its called she's the one
