I made a quick recording today using my B1. You can listen to it here.

It's called I Come To A Mountain.
I only did two takes, one for guitar and one for vocal, so it's a little rough but hopefully it will give you some idea of what the B1 sounds like on acoustic and my voice. I didn't use any EQ so you would get the real thing. I did add a little reverb to the voice just to help it not stick out so much. You should probably download it rather than play it. When I tried to just play it, it had kind of a cave like sound. I hope that won't be there with a download. It didn't sound like that when I played the MP3 before I uploaded it.
Oh, I recorded this with my Ovation Balladeer, just to give you a better idea of what you are listening to. I purposely didn't use a shock mount either.
Warning; The song is Christian in nature.
Blessings, Terry

Oct 13, 2003 09:29 am i didnt notice the bit about it being 'christian in nature' before i heard it..and i wouldnt have known really
its just a beautiful acoustic song.
on a technical note, the acoustic did seem a bit 'boomy', on the low end, but that might be nwr or my speakers...
but, yeah, good work dude!

Oct 13, 2003 11:49 am I love it. I also record christian music and in the process of doing a live recording with my band at my church. I've been looking for a good voical/acoustic mic, and I believe I am sold! Cheap mic too!
Post some more links of your stuff, I would love to hear it.

Oct 13, 2003 02:28 pm We just made a live recording of our choir. Did the same program three services in a row and will pick the best takes out of the three. Whn the CD is finished being mastered I'm make some MP3's and post them. We have a large santuary so I believe it will sound good.
Thanks for the complements on the song. I'll have to do a little but more work on it the next time I record it. All I did here was make the two tracks, add the default Fasoft soft-knee compression, SIR reverb impusle to the Vocal and then use endorphin on the master. I was trying not to mess with sound too much so my friend would be able to hear what a B1 could do. I think I'll take some time next time and maybe try some of my other mics as well.

Oct 24, 2003 09:52 pm I always wondered how you guys get such clear, great acoustic sound. I always get a bad sound.
Oct 24, 2003 10:00 pm rightside, what is is about your sound you don't like. it could be many thing, from poor quality equipment, improper recording techniques and poor mixing to name a few. maybe if you describe the problem we can pinpoint the source.
