I wanna max my ram out!!

how do i add ram to my existing i have 512 mb... and its just noeugh and im startingto record people/bands... im gonna buy an external hardrive and more ram.. how do i do this!!??

well... do you have p3, p4, or amd? do you use ddr ram or sdram? pc100, pc2100 or pc2700? got money for the stuff or credit (LOL)? you see.. we need more info...

but if you know what type of ram you need then check out the RAM manufacturer's website (or motherboard's docs) to see what max your board supports. depending on that, you need to find out what ram slots are used/available to see what you need to buy so you can swim in your RAM

to add something... i record bands and i have 512 DDR RAM which operates with ease.

ditto - I run with 512 and have never really felt the RAM is my systems weakness.

hmm i dont know i have this little pc monitor thing which tells you how much memory it has... and like it drops to like 5 % free... i mean if you guys say i dont need it then i wont get it just the hard drive... that should help

What speed is your CPU and what is the bus speed of your system. These two factors play a major role in the speed of your computer.

is that a pentium 4? as for the bus speed, check the motherboard's manual for the stats, it'll be listed in MHz, or just tell us what motherboard you have.
