impressive as the standard fruity instruments are, they're all very much geared towards dance and stuff - not what i do really.
where can i download some more (free, natch) instruments? what should i be looking for anyways?
anything not-dance is cool, but im on the lookout for anything interesting really!
help!

Jul 09, 2003 10:39 am alright, next stoopid fruity question...i programmed a REALLY complex bass line which took me three hours, tried to change the sample i'd used to create it and now its gone! i mean, the layout is still there, but nothing plays at all - any ideas?

Jul 09, 2003 02:08 pm Of all people, I don't think flame has to be told to go get the free stuff first...remember, he is our resident freeware cheapskate on the street :-D

Aug 09, 2003 11:34 pm Free good wave samples to use are really hard to find. I've been a lot disapointed from my search. I search for specific instrument :
-String ensemble, cello, violin,etc...
-Choir
-piano
-fretless bass
-Organ (church organ and all other spooky synthetizer sound):)
-tubular bell
as for the drum I've download the NSKit, seem nice,I've not tried it yet. well, I will continue my search, if someone can help me, link URL or something else. thanks
Aug 10, 2003 11:12 pm i've bought a few sample discs of eBay and use them almost exclusively. I've also got an extensive collection of samples i've found on the web and even a few hundred megs of stuff I've made myself. Just keep looking, it may take awhile and you'll have to weed thru tons of junk to find the good stuff, but if you're really serious about this stuff your efforts will pay off.
Aug 11, 2003 07:25 pm That ok, I've just learn about the soundfont player in Fruity. work really well when you got some great sound samples. here a link of a site, with review of samples they got. I'm sure you're already knew about this site but anyway: www.hammersound.net/ thanks!
