You have find a copyof "Grunglizer" it's a plugin that generates old vinyl pops and ticks, it's from steinberg and it is free I think...but I don't think it's heavily promoted, I got it with WaveLab 1.6 when I bought that many years back...

yeah, ive got that one...but im not digging the sound of it to be honest, dont know why. i fancied a real vinyl recording - awkward brit that i am!

i got grungilizer with cubasis when i bought it - dont think it works on imx either, though i could be wrong about that...

hmmmm, I can't remember if Grungilizer is DirectX or VST...I think it is DirectX tho, which means it wouldn't work in IMX...bummer.

Just loop it, my mixer has a vinylizer on, maybe the same one and you'll need to cut out the needle click anyway or it won't sound right.

is that what that bomp, bomp bomp noise is? any chance of a copy of that without the bomp bomp bomp? its gonna mess with my drum loop i reckon...

well, the trebly crackle is cool and i like that bit, but the deeper booomp is gonna mix with the drum loop i reckon - do ya get my drift?

the "Grunglizer" that is made my steingberg in my opinion sucks very much. the crackel loop is a bout 3 secounds long and sounds very unrealistic since all the bomps and trebely crackle are in the same sequence every 3 sec.! that thing gets anoying. i've seen much better that loop a 20 secound sample. the plugin how ever does have some other cool effects in it like the "EQ" section were you can move the speaker away from you and the area to add noise. but if your looking for that popin stuff its not worth it.

Ya know, goldwave has an effect that makes your song sound like it's on vinyl... it's pretty rad... and free!

It's easy just to keep the needle part at the beginning and then cut and paste bits together so it only happens the once.
My sample comes from the UB1622FX

Izotope make a free plug-in called Izotope Vinyl that I consider to be very good. Check it out at izotope.com
