well... this kinda sucks. i have to be out of my house in 8 hours and i havent packed a thing. My dad is kicking me out of the house because he thinks i should be making 50G a year. and "im taking the wrong approach to establishing myself as a producer and a performer in philly." like he would know. i have NO money and NOWHERE to go. F the world.

as a side note. the reason i posted this was to tell you i might not be around anymore so if you like me, which i doubt you do, youll miss me. and if you hate me youll be glad im gone.

dang, that's rough man. life is just full of surprises. i just sustained an injury today that will probably have me playing guitar with only a fraction of the skill i had before. seems like lately for me everything is just crumbling apart, but i'm not stricken down. i won't let something like that end me just yet. so hang in there.

and no body hates you, dude. stop in from time to time and check us out from the library or from a friend's house.

good luck -j

yeah i just got laid off from my job, and the field of work i am in factoring in my location leaves about 20 people applying for every job. if i don't get unemployment, then it's bankruptcy for me! yay!

great to be a 21-year-old college student who has bills to pay these days.

hard times are all over the place. we'll all live, and we'll all get back to a stable point. don't freak out and get all negative. it is definitely not going to help fix things any quicker.

Well, MFK, not sure if you will read this or not, but out of idle curiousity, since I don't know you well, what route ARE you taking to establish yourself? 50g is kind of a lot for someone just out of school trying to get a gig...have you asked the local philly recording studios for an internship or job? DO you have a band? If so are you gigging?

Sorry to here about the bum luck...hope things get better.

FYI, that post isn't to prove your dad right or anything, but perhaps there ARE other routes to be taken in promoting yourself...or other jobs you can do while getting yourself established.

I dont know if MKF can read this but...
Thats a tough spot to be in, my suggestion, for what its worth.
Make peace with pop, buy some time but make good use of the time. I dont have to tell you that finding a way to bring in some money is the key. If you can do it with music or whatever youre into is the best way like dB said. If not then it gets a little tougher and the sacrafice is greater, especially in the economy we have today.
Find some other musicians and look for some cheap apartment and share the rent. Get in touch with TonyD, he lived in Philly for years, maybe he can give you some help. You're a creative guy, I know, I've listened to your music, youre gonna have to leave sometime make it happen now. It'll be some of the best times of your life.
2 things...
Once you do move out, Guard your equipment with your life.
Once youve been gone for a while you'll be amazed at how your relationship with your pops will improve.
Good Luck
