Online composition?

Hi All,
My friend is a good lyricist but is not so popular. I have decided to gift a collection of his lyrics composed on his birthday gift next month. I have searched a lot and read several reviews to find the best of mixing & mastering services. I could find one such service from Sundown Sessions in Toronto. But they are having online services. Is it good to opt for an online composition and will it be up to the mark?

I can say the best mastering engineer I know is at HDQTRZ www.hdqtrz.com/

That being said, he is the underpriced online service ttype of studio either, he's the real friggin' deal.

I haven't used those type of services myself...instead of investing in that, might be a cool idea to give a hand to mixing and mastering on your own if you think you can.

That being said, since you just joined (welcome to HRC, by the way) we don't know much about you, what you do, and your level of experience in music playing, production or anything else.

I'd also look into Bruce Valeriani at Blue Bear Sound in Ottawa. www.bluebearsound.com/index.html

John Scrip at Massive Mastering in Chicago also knows his stuff. www.massivemastering.com/

There's also Jason Walsh at Farview Recording. He just moved out to was it Colorado? Or was it Las Vegas? I can't remember, just know it was out west. So, I don't know if his studio is up and running yet or not. www.farviewrecording.com/

Then there's also Phil Nicolo (Rob mentioned him to me, told me I should talk to him) here in Philadelphia, but he's a big name, and has his hands are involved in many big name albums, and a number of movies as well. www.philnicolo.com/

None of these guys (including Dan's link) are particularly cheap. But they're all competent engineers, and won't do you wrong.
