My first metal band:

Looks like I've got a recording gig set up the night we fly back. (our plane's supposed to get in at 3pm, barring weather problems)

This will be a trial run using my tascam MTR. Sounds like they are the last show and start at 9:30pm. I'm going to try to get there as early as I can to talk to the sound guy (if the bar has one) and see if I can get him to give me enough tracks to make it worthwhile.

This is the same guy that contacted me a couple months ago wanting to record into a tape unit (which I explained I don't have) but he's wanting to do some solo project recordings as well as some recordings for the band

He also wants me to help him to learn the way around the gear they have. They've got a bunch of mics, a mixer and amplified mixer, and said they'd be willing to compensate me for both the recording and the learning.

But yeah, my first time working with a metal band. (sub-genre Black Thrash) The band's name is Plaguewitch. And I'm guessing the frontman is Nick Pressley. They've both got facebook pages, and some videos. I haven't heard or seen any individual tracks yet though. (hopefully that will change after I record them)
