Alright everyone,
Not been on here in ages and for some reason can no longer log on using my JDOD account. No idea why.
Anyway, I want a new guitar and I want it to be simple, light weight and comfortable to play on sitting down in front of the computer or on my bar-stool looking out of the window of my apartment.
I don't want any fancy bridges/trems like my Ibanez and I don't want the balance of the body to be awkward and geared towards standing like my Washburn (Les Paul balance) as it is awkward when sitting down. A lightweight body would be a bonus. I would probably like quite a shallow profile neck with large frets.
At the moment I am looking at mid priced PRS guitars (the ones that aren't actually made by PRS) budget is about £600. Any ideas?

Dec 22, 2012 11:07 am I second checking the pawn shops I have gained at least a dozen that way. Also looking for a Parker guitar would put you in the light weight guitar realm for sure.
Dec 27, 2012 10:07 pm I guess I ought make it clear about Parker guitars, I should have said, used Parker guitars. The newer ones are so much more expensive now. But I have been able to find a couple in the $300-$400 range. The Parker P38 and the PM20 were both great finds.
Dec 29, 2012 09:43 am I recently picked up a PRS Santana SE and I have to say, as a former professional performer, I would have absolutely no second thoughts about dragging a few of those around. Great build, wonderful neck, excellent fit-and-finish...
The whole SE series really seems to be an anomaly in the "affordable instruments" market.
Granted - I wouldn't exactly call it "light weight" -- But it's not exactly heavy either.
