I have cool edit pro 2 and i was wondering if anyone could send me a session file so that i can practice mixing. i would want the file raw, meaning just recording. I need all the practice that i can get. if i can get any other multitrack saves to work in cep, send them this way. i need to practice everything from eq to mixing the individual tracks.
thanks
jason

Jason, what your asking for is someone to send you their recorded works for you to play with, is that how I read this?

First off, sending you a multitrack file is going to be a fairly large file.

Secondly, I dont know too many musicians who will just give you their hard work to play around with.

Not to say that someone might not do it, but I know most of us here work hard to make our music and I personally dont care to have it strewn about for a lark.

I dont mean to sound pissy or harsh about it, but I truly think you are asking a lot.

What I might suggest is getting to the free loop sights and down loading yourself a mess of free audio loops and going at mixing those and see how you do.

And might I ask the question, if you are looking to mix something, why not just record it yourself?

jason
i would do this for you but i'm not ready yet. i dont have a single fully recorded song. when i do, i would certainly welcome a remix, as i too am trying to learn and could use as much input/ideas as i can get.

An outburst for perfection

cool edit pro 2 has a short introduction piece which can be mixed how ever you want it... Guitar, bass, drums, keys, vocals, it's all there...
A good place to start and it can learn you a thing or two
