Is PMZ mic best for recording discussion at conference table?

Just getting back into recording after ten years pursuing other endeavors. Back in the day, PMZ microphones seemed the best option for recording audio in a group setting like a conference room. We also used them for recording orchestras with decent results.

My question is, is there something better these days for the above recording situations?

PMZ's are great but I guess it really depends on what gear you have. I have a great personal recorder that I would use strictly for convenience. Here is my set up. Zoom H4N with 2 Karma Micro's

Thanks BeerHunter. I am also looking for something I can use for video recording...same conference room scenario.
