right pan is a lot quieter compared to left pan, why?

for a while now, i have been hearing in songs that i have brought that some parts are quieter then others (e.g guitar solos), but only when i play it through my system that it does this. if i play it just through the computer speakers, it's fine.

today i was making my own beat and then playing round with it in logic... i then decided to pan them left and right, but when i listened to it, when it plays the part that was panned right, it was really quiet.

so i'm starting to think that it's all that single problem? maybe the reason i'm hearing it in songs is because the guitar was panned to the right?

how do i fix this, does this type of thing happen a lot?

Do your speakers have a vol knob or "pad" on the back of them?
Could be anything, start checking things in yer DAW, pan vols anything you can think of.

im still trying to work out what mono and stereo recording is... dont think it could be logic but coz it does it with itunes and concert DVDS, anything where the instrument is panned to the right, the monitors play quiet. on the back of them is just a balanced and unbalanced connection which its connected into the balanced one, and its got an HF level adjustment and volume knobs and they are set to what the manual suggests starting off with. they are KRK Rokit 8s by the way

so you say its all fine in the mix on yer DAW? If its all good before you mix down then check what youre mixdown setting are in "export" you want stereo out and you want "real time" or something the same. If you dont have real time for example or all fx or whatever, it wont export them properly. could be that
