Glad it worked out for you 'D.

I have had a similar Java issue... For some reason, when I installed Line6 Edit, and Monkey, the required Java installation isn't recognized. As a result, I can't tweak my amp, and M-13 through the DAW. This was actually a re-install, done after a hard drive was replaced. Everything worked fine before. Weird...

I can still tweak 'physically', but it'd be nice to get to the deep editing features that these puppies have.

Any insight with this would help...

go to interent options>security>custom level>scroll down to miscellenous>allow script initiated windows woithout size restraint.
Do this in all zones in internet options, "include trusted sites" "local intranet" etc.

That didnt seem to work for me, well at first anyway, then i tried,
go the "run" box after clicking "start" and and type into the box there....regsvr32 jscript.dll and press ok.

That should work mate, if you wanna just try the run box first i recks that might work by itself.

funny thing with it all is, none of this worked at all then about half an hour later it was working.
I guess the computer was just having lunch or was out and i had to wait till it got back.

Well, I haven't had the chance to try out your recomendation, Dematrix... however, while paroozing a favorite site of mine I found this interesting little tid bit:

www.vettaville.nl/page.php?id=49#71

At the top of the 'Tweak Tricks' section is a 3rd-party prog that someone wrote specifically for Line-6 Edit users that have had problems with their OS jiving with Java. Appearently, it is a matter which plagued enough peeps to prompt outside intervention. Figured it would be worth mentioning in this thread, just in case someone else was searching for 'Java-related issue' fixes.

The issue with the Line-6, and Java stems from my OS. When I replaced my system hard drive, I also switched OSs, from XP-Pro, to XP-Home-something... After installing the "J-Buster" 3rd-party app yesterday, everything is working as it should, and I can now tweak the amp through the compy, as well as download patches, no prob. (: 3=
