Ive been thinking about applying for a basic course in electronics, like circuit building and soldering and all that foundational stuff. I'm horrible at working wiht my hands though, but it seems essential for sound stuff nowadays.
anyhow, if anyone has experience with this stuff; doing both electronics and sound, wat should i be looking for in a course? wat should i avoid being bogged down by?
all suggestions most welcome

Aug 30, 2011 12:55 pm I would say you need a basic understanding of electronic components and how they work. If you like reading, Elliot Sound Products will give you all the background you need. Start taking small audio projects on: Elliot has loads of stuff to choose from if you want to build useful stuff for your studio.

Aug 30, 2011 03:50 pm U no how I is ignant, but I've been botching some projects from BYOC recently. Have you tried those projects? They're good to get you on the road to soldering efficiently. Then once you figure those out, there's this guitar amp project that looks like it would be a blast. If I had more free time I'd be on it!
