Hey all,
Picked up a Zoom H4N for recording live performances and other field recording. This is a 4 track recorder so with pre's so I added my K-micro's for a very versatile system.

Aug 12, 2011 07:48 am Pretty cool, I know a dude that got one of those things a while back to record his kids band practices, he was pretty impressed with the sound of it. Hope it works well for ya!
Aug 12, 2011 10:50 am I read about those..Was it pricey?

Aug 12, 2011 10:55 am It cost a couple bones under $300. I've only used it a couple of times and when I get something good I will post the results.
Some of the other features include a tuner, metronome, guitar fx and modelling and a compressor/limiter.
I wanted to get something that could handle high spl's so I can record live performances and practices.
Aug 12, 2011 12:40 pm Sweet...looking forward to hearing it.

Aug 14, 2011 12:43 am Sounds good on AT m50s. How did you use it? Built in mic pointed at one source and kmicros pointed the other way like it's set up in your Picture? What did ya point it at?

Aug 14, 2011 02:31 pm I didn't use the K-micro's at all. I wanted to see how this performed with the built-in mics only. I was sitting on the lawn about 50 ft directly in front of the performer. I had the H4N sitting on a tripod about 1 foot off the ground pointed directly at the stage. What you are hearing is the mains and not stage level.
