Interesting app for your PC

A buddy of mine runs spywareinfo.com, they are very cool and have lots of great info in regards to software, it privacy issues, spam and other such things.

There I found him rating a new app at www.spywareinfo.com/articles/ed/2003/05/1.php called "Codestuff Starter" that makes a simple interface to take total control over which apps start up when Windows does.

I dunno about you but I get annoyed when programs take it upon themselves to load at the start and sit in my taskbar taking up resources I could better spend elsewhere...and best of all this app is free!

Check it out if you are bothered by rouge programs taking over your PC.

or you could just type msconfig into the run box...?

I'm none too keen on having all these little apps on my pc, but that's just MHO :)

agreed, for those of us that are more PC savy that's great, but some less PC savvy peeps might very much like an easier, cleaner interface to work in...tho I personally like msconfgi or services.msc myself.

well, neither does multimedia production :-D

hehehe

Seriously tho, that is a good point, but there are other ways on Win2k...they just escape me at the moment...I know "services.msc" works...
