I never wanted a fight. Maybe next time, instead of posting a rude and insensitive comment for no reason at all, you could just shut the **** up !

Everyone here is trying to be a better musician and or sound technician. Please be nice to your fellow forum users, eh, mate?

Have a great day !!!

get ***** dickbrain.

You come here with a passive aggressive attitude and a big mouth saying this and that about stuff,
then say everyones wasting their time commenting on your little problem that you asked help for.

I dont get it, did i miss read the posts in that thread.

If youve got 250 studio quality songs recorded by you, then why do you need anyones help?

If you cant use cubase LE then WTF?

Lets just leave it at that, you wont be here long f**kbag.

Man, I've seen alot of peeps come and go from this site, but this is the first one that I've seen 'call out' another member, musically.

It seemed pretty funny at first, but then I had a listen to the 'music' he posted in it's context, and well... not funny... not good... and, deffinately not something to make one 'rise to the challenge'. Though, I must admit, I am dying to know what 'rude, and insensitive' comment Dematrix had to offer.; p

Hue, I think the anger started here www.homerecordingconnecti...20984&frm=1 when Dematrix did seem to jump the shark a bit with the insult, but bif didn't exactly defuse it, took the bait and added to it...so, well, people just need to get a grip...that said, a X vs X thread is just stupid...especially in an area that is so subjective.

Trolling is best left to the master himself.
How to make a guitar transparent ?

When i think about Art looking at something that is transparent
you can see through it but there is still colour and something
on the picture but the picture is just transparent.

How can i do this a guitar or vocal source to make it transparent
like how Art does transparent art.

Would it be layering the guitar but some how make the guitar
audio clip transparent see through?
what piece of gear will give that glossy, polish, shinning sound on the master 2 track??
what can i use for a vocal guide?

Some people say to play the melody notes with a piano and playback the vocal melody notes in the headphones so when i sing i can hit solid vocal notes

The problem i'm having is when i'm singing over the chords , and then i playback the song with vocals i don't know what notes im singing and trying to transcribe the vocal melody to a keyboard piano notes is really hard how can i do this easier

Would singing into a "notation program" give me the melody notes better. So i can see my vocal melody writen out in MIDI?

How or what can i use so when i sing my vocals it will write out in MIDI notation in real TIME???

When i mix down to 2 track stereo on my 24track recorder it doesn't
sound multi-track any more why is that?

Is it because it glues together the 24 tracks ?
lost the seperation sound of it sounding multi tracked
after i mixed down to 2 tracks what happened?
Why doesn't sound multi track anymore ?

Could it be that 24 tracks were running down
24 buss lines and now its not and it lost the
multi track sound?

What can make the mixdown to stereo make it sound
really really multi track to really hear those 24 tracks and
not just glued together so when your hear the cd it sounds
like your hearing it out of a big console sound?

What makes that console sound thats so special when you
hear it. It sounds like a console and not like a recorder or mixer
or pro tool it sounds like a console is it the Master output stage
thats the special part of the console to give it that special console
sound?
Oi Vey!....and....yikes. For real?

Seriously folks, calling out, throwing down, etc. Not happening. The folks around here are a little more professional than resorting to such games. Give it a few days, let the emotions get back to being on the level.

Chill dudes, be excellent unto each other. And....to quote Red Green... "Remember, we're all in this together."

yeah i got a bit upset.

It was just the way he came in all huff huff, or so it seemed to me.
It was what he wrote after he got what he was after, that shat me, i guess i wasnt in the mood.

I didnt throw down like 16 year old which is more than likely what im dealing with here so im the bigger idiot.

Every now and then i have a friend here, have you noticed?
There was one dude a while back that got banned who went all bug ****ed as well.

Anyway, i better get cracking on my songs if im to meet criteria needed for the hoe down.

Looking back at it all, it hilarious really, its so childish thats why its funny.

I have no bad feelings, moving on.

Not to be a douche (maybe a lil) but the dancing lights does not sound pro quality to me at all. Sounds like some digital instruments with too much sizzle on the cymbals. Normally I would applaud all the positives (decent home studio track for sure) but if I were starting a rock fight (and claimed 250+ pro quality recordings) I would pick my most amazing mix/song.

last but not least, I don't see what this has to do with a Cubase love/hate relationship.

Funny, tripps, now, I am not one to trash on others tunes, music is subjective, but after I listened to his tunes, I had the exact same thought...not saying I am the greatest recording engineer on earth, but eesh...

As a death metal drummer, my opinion would be: Both songs absolutely suck donkey *** and if I had to actually critique all 250 songs for the sake of a "challenge," I'd probably stab myself with pencils to my temples repeatedly to redirect the pain affecting my brain from having to listen to that style of music. What the hell are you trying to appeal too? Stoned hippies playing hacky-sack at the bell tower of your local college/school? THEY HAVE NO MONEY and they won't buy what you're selling (except maybe for the purpose of using the discs as frisbies).

As an entry level recording engineer: I think you got something going, but it does need some finishing touches to clean up the sound. Maybe not pan the vocals hard L/R and perhaps tone down the high eq on output. Overall, I'd say a pretty good effort to submit to the forum here, but prob. not polished enough to issue a challenge. Best of luck, regardless, with your pursuit to effective home recording!!!

In all fairness I did give both tracks a listen, and I'll agree with Tripps and Hippie's assessments.

The instruments are recorded decently enough, but the mix as a whole sounds a bit thin to me, and the cymbals are hissing a bit. There might be some spacing/panning issues as the mixes didn't translate very well to my headphones (and the monitors emphasized the issue), and end up sounding a bit "2-Dimensional" The Left/Right is there (maybe a little too much) But it sounds a bit flat, like there's no air or depth to the mix.

For lack of a better term, the whole thing sounds a bit anemic to me.

I'd say tone the highs down a bit, beef up the mids and low-end to give the mix a more full, lush soundscape. Bring the extreme L/R pans back a bit toward center, and see how that goes for you.

Im not saying anything about the songs, i guess my opinion means squat seeing as tho i have a biased opinion on who wrote them hahahaha, na just kidding, no biggie biffter.

does this mean i should submit a song?
Seems the critique has already started.
