positioning monitors and setting up ur room is a big deal that takes alot more than just having the monitors, that is kind of the first thing u have to realize.

That said, if ur just tryin to basically set them up, dont put them up against a wall or in a corner, u need space behind and to the sides of ur monitors. Dont set any of the knobs at the back, leave everythign at flat (or 0) and just adjust ur volume to a comfortable level. Angle them with ur head so u form an equal sided triangle of about 3 ft for each side.

The bass on the KRK 8s has always been a complaint from ppl, their very bass to begin with, but after time ull learn to deal with it.

This is all very basic stuff, setting up ur rig to work well will take alot of work and information. Just dont want u to freak out too much yet.

Before u do serious recording, its usually a good idea to spend WEEKS listening to music on ur monitors in the space ur using. Listen to tons of music and get use to how ur monitors sound and how songs that sound different in other places translate to them.

Thank you my friend , I will try do some changes ... I'm very new into recording stuff and I was expecting my MONITORS sound like some HI-FI system ...
I would like to know more about it if any one else have some experience with the same set-up or at least with the KRK 8.

Most monitors of decent quality require placement and time. You have to "learn" what they sound like and how they translate your mixes. I do not know of a way to do this quickly. Eventually you will crank out consistent mixes.

just to chime in, the KRK's are a bit "muddy" sounding, and if you can roll off the lows a bit on the back of the monitor, that'd be a good idea....otherwise you're going to hear alotta bass when you're mixing, but when you listen to your mix in the car it will sound a bit thin. this is NOT a "must do" as your ears will adjust to them in time.....best thing you can do is listen to your monitors ALOT, and for everything....cd's, mp3's, dvd's, etc...your ears can "learn" just about any monitor, and the krk's are nice and balanced when turned up LOUD, but when yer mixin' at "normal" levels, them big yellow woofers are a bit too much....that's the catch 22 with 8 inch "nearfields"....they are really midfield monitors and sound best loud and about 8 feet away from mix position. i got my 8's thinking i'd get better (more) low end than in 6's but have since figured out i have too much speaker for my little bedroom setup....that's why if/when my Event's take a dump on me, i'm gonna downsize to 6's.....thing is i've had mine for....gosh, about 9 years now and they are showing no sign of dying on me anytime soon.
