Lexicon Omega help!

I have a lexicon omega which has been working for me beautifully. I recently got some m-audio bx5as to help me mix and they were working for awhile, I hooked them up to the outputs via quarter inch cables which both work, and then when I recently went to play a recording through the monitors I hear like the first note of the song through them and then it goes quiet with like a few clicking sounds here and there.

I know it's not the monitors because I hooked them up to my keyboard and they work, it's not the cables, the output on the lexicon works if I'm using my headphones, the lexicon can still record, but for some reason it won't play correctly through the monitors. I even tried resetting the Lexicon and had no results.

Any ideas of what it could be?

How old is your Omega? The early Omegas did suffer problems with overheating internal ribbon connectors and this may be your problem. Have a good sniff around the back panel, any funny plasticky smells and you may have a problem. Sorry to be a Merchant of Doom, but this is a possible cause of your trouble, especially if you've been working the Omega hard.

Yep i agree with PMB, they were shokcers when they first came out.
I didnt realise they were still making them. I hope they are ok now.

I wont go into my experience with em, but yeah, if its cactus dont get another one. Sounds like youve been one of the lucky ones with your one at least working to this stage.

Shoot, do you guys know of any good replacements for around $200? I'm working with a macbook pro and those m-audios, guitar, have a few microphones that need phantom power.
