hi guys,
i'm new to the forum and also brand new to the world of recording. in fact, i'm a musician but i always wanted to buy some gearz in order to make some recordings on my own.

well, i've got an imac, logic pro8 as software and a motu 8pre. recently, a friend lend me an old motu 2408mk2 so that i can get 16 audio inputs.

my problem is that i don't know how to set these two interfaces softwarely (does this term exist?) in order to get them woking simulteanously, and franckly, i don't know all these technical terms used in these softwares. i'm now starting my recording education

can someone please help me.

My original answer was premature. The MOTUNATION forum will probably have the answer to your question if no one here has a reply. Obviouly, the two units are daisy-chained via Firewire, but I'm not sure how to make it an extension in the CueMix software (so what was 8 inputs now shows 16 inputs). The MOTU website has some info about changing the 8pre from an interface to a converter, but I'm not sure if that's applicable with the 2408.
