Alesis i/o trigger mod w/ Mixcraft?

Hey guys, I'm new here. I've tried everywhere but can't find an answer, and hoping you guys can help out.

I recently bought an Alesis i/o trigger module to record acoustic drums. I want to record with Mixcraft 5. Here's what I planned to do: hook up my triggers to the module, and module to my laptop, and record with mixcraft 5.

So basically, can I use this setup and be able to record? Or am I gonna have to use ezdrummer or something? I don't really know too much about recording, since I've never used triggers before. So if you guys can please help out, that'd be great! Thanks!

..and btw: it comes with BFDLite (no idea what it is so..)
