Servicing a Mixer

Hello All...

Does anyone know a good place to get a mixing console serviced? I have an old & unsupported mixer (Studiomaster Horizon Powerhouse 1216) that is in pretty good shape except for the Trim pots. They are so crackley that the board is unusable. I know that the pots just need some contact cleaner blown into them but this isnt something I feel comfortable doing myself. I have done multiple searches looking for people who do this type of thing but havent found anything. The Studiomaster website is useless but I have seen people on eBay selling 'recently serviced' versions of the same board. Is there something specific I should search for or is there a company in the US that anyone knows about that can do this?

Thanks, Matt

There are a few places that I send things to from time to time. All of them should be able to help you out with this issue.

www.creationaudiolabs.com/pro-audio/

www.manta.com/c/mmj93l6/rjk-services

www.audiobahn.net/repairservice.php

If you call any of them, just tell them that Rob from Bauder Audio recommended you to them.

Can you use tv contact tuner spray and clean the pots yourself?
