I have 2 Rokit 6 monitors that only give me static.... PLEASE HELP!

I am using a mac mini
have a 27 inch Dynex tv for the screen plugged in through HDMI
I am using an Mbox 2 mini which plugs in to the computer through USB
And the Mbox 2 is what i run the 2 Rokit 6 monitors into the computer with
* I also have a microphone that plugs in the Mbox 2 mini but that doesn't seem to have much to do with it.

The problem i am having is when you turn on the computer and turn on the monitors it is just a static noise. I have messed with the volume on the speakers the plugs, and all the wiring and can't seem to figure it out.

I run pro tools and just recently add some different types of Wave plug ins and can't seem to pin point if that could be an issue too...

If you have any information I would appreciate help or advice even direction (haha) to a possible solution.

Thanks!

Have you tried contacting Waves support...?

To be quite honest I haven't had a clue of what to try.

And is it possible for waves plug-ins to do that to the computer?

Has anyone ever heard of that being an issue?

Thanks Again!

If it happened after you installed Waves, then maybe the installation did something to your preferences - if the anomaly is on the books, Waves probably knows about it.

If the plugs are "non-kosher" then (A) no one is going to be surprised if your whole hard drive gets wiped out - much less a little thing like audio drivers going crazy (B) fewer will even care (C) Waves won't help you and (D) you wouldn't deserve help anyway.

That said - Assuming it's a legit install of legit software, Waves customer service is actually quite good...

The funny thing is I almost wish I would have boot legged the sofware as hard as it was to get it loaded on my computer.... haha

But all jokes aside it is a completely legit set of software its just is crazy how bad it is effecting my sound.

Thanks again for the help and advice. I will diffently try to contact them.

I'd go with the obvious troubleshooting goofiness also - Plug a CD player or something in to the monitors and make sure they're working properly...

But it wouldn't be the first time someone's audio drivers got all frotzed from installing audio software... You might consider reloading the MBx's software also.
