Whats up guys! Its me again, and I finally bought the UX2...I installed everything, and for some reason I cant get any sound coming out from my speakers...I have it connected via USB,and yet no sound. Any ideas?
I also plan on recording with my software(Sonar Home Studio Ver. 7)....I am also no seeing the needles move when I am strumming the guitar, on the pod farm, it does mention that its connected to the UX2.

What speakers are we talking about? PC speakers hooked to your PC soundcard?

If not running headphones or powered monitors hooked straight to the UX2 you need to do some routing.

The USB will allow the UX2 to take your signal and process the desired tone on the PC, it then sends that back to the UX2 (not to your PC soundcard). If you plug in headphones to the UX2 you should hear it.

Therefore you need to route the analog outs (1&2) from the UX2 to the "line in" on your PC soundcard. You can then crank the line6 volume knob and use your PC speakers to control over all volume.

You will need one cable to do this, a stereo 1/4" that converts to a single 1/8" plug. Although I would not purchase monster cables here is an example of what it should look like. Should run around $10.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, should be pretty painless.

Okay, I guess I need to go to best buy or some sort of another. I do plan on buying some KRK montiors for my computer, but the old lady would want them to watch TV(via Computer) or listen to her music...so I would just simply get this cable that you suggested and goto the line in, and the the KRK would be split from the 2 1/4inch(left and right) to 1 1/8 input.

Thing is, you can use the UX2 as your main sound card. When you get the KRK monitors you can hook them to the UX2 and just tell windows to use it by default. I use my M-Audio monitors with my UX8 on my PC and it sounds clear and fantastic for music and my games, and I disabled the onboard soundcard from the bios.

And yes, that is the cable I speak of, should work.

I see, so the UX2 could work as a sound card, never thought about that, and then just go into my device manager, and disable the other...

You got it, all in all it is just a nicer quality soundcard that supports ASIO for recording. Works fantastic for regular PC use though :)

Wow... I always wondered why the hell I could never get my UX2 to work as the full PC sound card. I stumbled i here to maybe help since I use to have the UX2, and ended up learning something new haha.
