Presonus Studio One With Presonus Inspire Problem

Okay, so I have the version of Presonus's Studio One that was included with my Presonus Inspire 1394. By all means these two products should work together absolutely seamlessly...but they aren't for me.

A little bit of background:
As far as I know I have everything necessary installed (the Studio One Software, obviously, the Inspire software).
I bought this product knowing that my computer has a 1394 port. However, the 1394 cable included with the Inspire is 6 pin to 6 pin, but my computer's input is 4 pin. So I went to RadioShack and bought a 6 pin to 4 pin cable. At the time I was using the last few days of Reaper's 30 day trial. The setup was working great.

The product came with software, so I decided to not shell out $60 for Reaper when I've got software for free.


Now, the problem:
As I open Studio One, a window pops up saying that the Inspire ASIO 1394 driver has failed to start correctly. It gives me the option of retrying, but that gets me nowhere.
Once the software has opened I realize that it does not detect my device at all.


I'm incredibly frustrated...and I just don't have a clue where to go from here.
