midi keyboard into audio interface

i have a m-audio fast track pro and a m-audio axiom 49 midi keyboard with pro tools 8 and im trying to figure out which is the best way to hook up the keyboard, usb into the computer or midi cables into the audio interface

I don't think it'd matter much, though I'd probably do the USB directly to the computer first.

Actually, I probably would try both, and see if I could tell the difference. I doubt there's much of a difference. Though I don't know for sure.

id go usb to computer... i just feel like your taking a connection thats not needed out of the picture... less noise (even if its noise that isnt audible)
