REAPER - Need Help!!!

Hello Everyone,

I have started recording in Reaper and the sound is great, but.......
Now, after it has been running for awhile - it just STOPS recognizing any input. Everything is hooked up as when I started it, but there are no levels. To get the thing going again, I have to completely restart my computer. I am using a mic which is plugged into a presonus firebox, which is connected to my computer.
Why is this happening?? Can anyone help?

do you have any other program you can try?

maybe the firewire is a problem, as some FW chipsets are known to be flaky with fire audio devices. I'm not sure what the issue was/is, but I know there is some issue.

Maybe try a different firewire port, if you have one? Maybe also check for malware if the PC has been on the internet.

Just for something to try, you could back-rev reaper, to something older, if it still seems like reaper is the problem.
