I am doing home recording using pro-tools LE and the Digi002.
What mic pre-amp is recommended for studio quality sound? I have a budget of up to 4K-5K. Is there a big difference between 2K-6K in mic pre-amps? I have an Avalon Vacuum Tube Vt 737sp, but i am not crazy about it. I need something a little simpler, with super high quality. Any advice is appreciated

Jan 29, 2010 06:24 pm I'd like to toss in the True Systems Precision 8 Mic Preamp or the True Systems P2 Analog 2-Channel Mic Preamp, between 1600-2600. the percision 8 is not as versital but very clean and transparent, and they both are very easy to use .
