Sonar 3 / Guitarport midi playback

Hey guys, I have a line6 guitarport running to Sonar 3 P.E. I have recorded and am able to hear all audio tracks just fine. I am trying to program drums, and have succeded in getting them on there, except that i can't hear them on playback at all. guitar playback is fine on 4 tracks, no midi drums. i have the midi inputs/outputs selected, and it plays as though it were fine, and i still can't hear the drums. if anybody has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Can you hear them as you are programming them?

when i initially programmed them i had my speakers plugged in, instead of running my headphones in through the guitarport, at the time i could hear them. when i restarted and plugged in the guitarport and headphones through it, and could hear everything but the drums. i reassigned the midi inputs/outputs for "guitarport OMNI"

the audio which plays fine is running through "guitarport stereo." which is not a choice for outputs in midi.

i got a drum program and was able to loop some beats that way, and hear them through the headphones, when i exported them and imported them into sonar, nothing.
