So I know how to record and set everything up. And that's all fine. It's when I play it back that it breaks up and sounds all distorted. At first I though it may have been picking up on some extra noi, but i made it pretty quiet in here and I still have the problem. Im new at this so feel free to post with any advice on how to fix this.
Thanx

Jan 02, 2010 11:04 pm its a latencey issue, change your buffers size to a higher setting for playback.
its in "Devices" in Cubase toolbar.
Jan 03, 2010 04:42 pm I did that but I'm still having the problem
Jan 05, 2010 12:48 am yeah i had the same problem in mine as well, you have to keep checking it to make sure it was applied when the changes were made. if not it will default back to your previous setting.
Jan 07, 2010 07:08 pm ok...I have the same equip as guitarist56...but my problem is that I can't hear ANYTHING when I playback. Can either of you help me? Please! It's my new toy and I can't even play with it :(

Jan 07, 2010 08:28 pm not to be a smart *** here but seriously read the manual for most of these problems.
Kristen yor problem sounds like a routing one which wil be in your cubase manual. look in Help in cubase under "VST connections"
Guitarist56, what are your buffers set at? what are your computer specs etc?
see if we can figure it out.
Jan 20, 2010 04:25 pm Sorry for taking so long to post back.lol. So I went into ASIO Direct X Full Duplex Driver>Control panel and it says buffer size = 2048 next to TASCAM- US 122... is that what you need?

Jan 20, 2010 08:31 pm that should be fine for playback. you might have some problems with latency though on that setting.
big buffers for mixing and editing. eg, 2048, 1024, 786.
smaller buffers for recording. eg, 192, 256, 512.
