Well, this year is a bit different. I've done this different ways for years now. So this year I am dropping it all at once on Xmas eve day for you all. I used to make this only available in the back room. This year it is for all HRC members. Or I should say those that don't have it yet.

This is a Christmas music album but with a twist. It is all digital, or to be more specific it is all synthes. No real instruments were used at all. The recording is now nearly 20 years old. It has been distributed in many forms but now I'm giving it away for free this year for a limited time. You have until the end of New Years day to download it.

Hope you all enjoy it. Here is wishing you a Merry Christmas for all.

That would be cool indeed.

I forgot you might be awake and online. I can never remember who besides my son and a few others are already well into their next day.

Thanks a bunch Noize. Downloading now! :) It's me and H's first Christmas together both as newlyweds, and away from our respective parents. I'm looking forward to having some time to relax after all the traveling.

Cheers!

This was the last known mix.

Noize,

You da MAN!! This is so cool! I remember it was my first collab project here at HRC. I'll have to do a search to find out who all was involved in this and what they did. I don't even remember what I did. I think I played bass and sang a verse.

Good old Coco...

Here's Coco's post, for anyone interested:

This song has been cooking for around 6 weeks and features only folks from this website. Here's who done what:

Vocals: Flame, Olddog, Coolo, Me, Guitar Jim
Rhythm Guitar (Electric): Guitar Jim
Rhythm Guitars (Acoustic): Me
Lead Guitar: Me
Bass: Guitar Jim
Celo: Coolo
Violin: Coolo
Drums: Olddog
Percussion/Other Bells: Olddog

This has been a massive mix for me, doing all this different stuff in one go and the best mixing experience Ive had since I started all this just under 1 year ago.

Take a listen, see what ya think and let me know your thoughts. See if you can guess "who sang what"!!!! Cool...thanks guys.

MERRY XMAS.

Coco and the HRC Collective!!!

Hey, Jim, how'd you fare in the Christmas storm? Was it bad over there? Official totals said my town got 14.5 inches of snow...I KNOW we got more than that...now, after heating and cooling, it's hard as cement...my dog walks on top of it.

We got a lot more rain and freezing rain than you did. Only about six inches, but it was the heaviest and sloppiest snow I've ever shoveled! My snowblower was completely USELESS! (I'm going to the chiropractor this morning!) And, like you, all the wet slop has frozen to a crusty glacier.

I was up in Plymouth yesterday, visiting my mom, and it was clear that you guys had a LOT more snow than we did!

Yeah, man, we got piles and piles, the last wave was the wet heavy stuff...I told Diane this spring I am buying a bigger blower when they are clearancing...my blower works fine for 95% of the snows, but that 5% it doesn't SUCKS on an aging body (as you found out it seems, sorry to hear that!).

The drift/pile on the front corner of my driveway beside the mailbox is about 4 feet tall...and it's one of the smaller ones in the neighborhood.

All in all, I'd rather have snow than ice tho, snow is a hassle, ice is dangerous.

I hear ya dB. Being from FL this is my first "true" winter hehe. The roads weren't salted as well as they could have been on Sunday. I was taking it nice and slow pulling out of the apartment parking lot, and I still almost fishtailed making a left turn. Glad there wasn't really anyone on the road.

Luckily though, it's mostly been the light fluffy/powdery snow here in Iowa City, and I hope it stays that way. I gotta drive to Cedar Rapids Thursday for an interview for a PC Deployment spot at St. Luke's via RHT. (wish me luck) At least I 80 and 380 ought to be good and salted. I'm still kinda getting used to getting around these wintery conditions.

(same position from November, oddly enough. Guess it took them longer to figure out how many positions were open, so when I got back from my trip, the opportunity was still there.)
