Setting up Axiom to control Protools transport?

Ok, have kind of a confusing question here. I'm lost. I am trying to set up my Axiom 25 midi controller so that it will control my transport window in Protools. I stumbled on this video:

which explains pretty much exactly what I am looking to do. The problem is, at about 1:08 in the video he explains a step: setup>peripherals>machine control. When I go to machine controls I don't have the option to enable "midi machine control remote (slave) which he clicks to get the controller working. Mine just shows the normal midi machine control enable option that is above it. I also have 4 tabs at the top of the window, not 3. I'm guessing I'm running a different version of Protools than the video instructor is. Does anyone know how to get around this step? It would be great if I could control my play and record buttons from my midi controller. Thanks.

Exactly which version of PT do you have? It does make a difference in the way and what midi support it does or doesn't have.

To be honest, PT does not do midi well at all for the most part. Any midi functionality was added as an afterthought to try and compete with the like of Sonar or Cubase and such.
