OK, I'm looking at getting a second hard drive for my audio files. My Evo has a 20 Gb 7200rpm in it. I'm looking at some at
z-buy.com/harddrive.asp
Would you guys be kind enough to take a look and tell me which ones would be the best to buy for my purpose? I'd like to stay under $70 if possible.
Thanks, Terry
P.S. If you know of a place to get better deals of course, I'm all ears. :-)
Oh, and of course if there's a place that's competitive and you can get a commision, point me at it. :-)

Jun 25, 2002 05:36 pm Assuming you want IDE any hard drive that is 7200 RPM or faster and preferably DMA100. I use Maxtor myself, many folks will say Seagate is better, and in ways they are, I have just persoally seen more Seargates die in my teching time than Maxtor. Western Digital I have seen the most death from though.
Like I said, I am a Maxtor user, so I would recommend them.
I do have to set up as an affiliate with a computer seller at some point I think, Ihate missign out on all this action :-)

Jun 26, 2002 10:47 pm Look's like thye have both Maxtor and Seagate. I know I am a Seagate fan, for the same reason dB is a Maxtor fan. I had several maxtor drive's croak so I switched. I think dB switched to Maxtor at the same time I switched to Seagate. Go figure. Any way, they have the 40 gig drive's for under $70.00.
