Can you give us the specs of your PC, CPU speed, amount of RAM and such. Also, what are you using for a sound card? An external interface or the internal sound chip?

Just so we can help you out as much as possible, it'd help us to know the specs. Here they're easy to find :]

Just click:
Start: > All Programs: > Accessories: > System Tools: > System Information.

From there, just copy down the "processor" (thats a long one, i know haha). and... Total physical memory? Eh there's like 4 things on here that look like ram umm.. Copy down Total physical memory, available physical memory, total virtual memory, available virtual memory.

Thanks, and welcome to HRC

maybe the playback rate got changed? or the sample rate. Those both can affect the timing.

I've not seen CEP, so i'm just throwing out ideas.

Under multitrack options make sure you have the "auto correct for drift" enabled.

That and make sure that your record timing master is set to audio clock. And the Playback timing master as well.

Knowing the specs of the PC and exactly what you are using for your sound card is the only way we can give you the correct path to find these things. That is a bit of an important piece of info.
