a great mic and decent pre? Just curious as to what people vaule more in there setup?

Undoubtedly, I'd rather run a 'humble' mic (SM58 for example) through a 'wonderful' preamp (uh - ummm... A Langevin? API? LaChappel? True? The list goes on...) than a 'wonderful' mic (U47FET) through a POS preamp.

Oct 26, 2009 12:33 pm Very cool - appreciate the feedback. I am currently using a Blue baby bottle and Focusrite Voicemaster platinum. Both I think are decent (although I'm sure others on here would disagree) and I like the result I am getting.
I'm not in any position to upgrade either at the moment but thought I would at least ask so I can start doing some research on what I should be looking at so I am educated when I am in a posotion to buy
