I've just purchased an outboard compressor and am trying to work out if i can connect it to my soundcard (an Edirol UA 25) before I start the search for a mixer? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sep 21, 2009 07:19 pm But ya, you can as MM stated simply hook line out of the compressor to the line in on the UA and you'll be good to go.

Sep 22, 2009 05:41 pm Problem being with many of the small mixer's today. They will add more bad sound then good to the signal chain.
I go straight in whenever possible avoiding the desk if I can.
Many don't have an old SSL or Neve that they are using for the sweet sounding pre or whatever analog warmth the said desk might add.
