On a Dell Inspiron 6400, is there a way to disable the internal keyboard?

I spilled some water accidentally on the laptop and the keyboard doesn't work anymore. I have tried replacing the keyboard but it doesn't work. My only solution is to use an external keyboard. I -did- unplug the internal keyboard manually inside the laptop, but I still get stuck keys problems that render my laptop useless at times... Is there any way to disable the keyboard in the BIOS or in windows?

There seems to be no option in the keyboards section in the control panel... The only thing I can do is uninstall the keyboard drivers, but they automatically reinstall after a reboot...

You can obviously guess how frustrating it is to have your recording/mixing session randomly interrupted because of a sudden stuck key...

Thanks!

So if I get this right, You already replaced the keyboard in the laptop and it sill didn't fix the issue? I am guessing it is probably deeper then just the keyboard itself. It sounds like there is something else a miss if you disconnect it and it is still throwing error's without being touched. Have you done a complete blow out of the inside and all the flat cable connection's?

It is entirely possible that you may have fried something else aside from just the keyboard module.

hah, I have my work tickets up on one monitor and HRC up on the other...I thought this was a trouble ticket from work for a second...anywho...

If you've unplugged the keyboard and you're still getting stuck keys, there's a problem with your hardware that won't be fixed by disabling the keyboard in the BIOS.
