Hello HRC Chums!

Yeah I've been away for quite some time but I still check things out from time to time.

I wanted to let you guys know that my band is giving away our album for free on www.reverbnation.com/beyondthenow

Also, I'm starting a new website geared towards Indie Artists, hoping to make them money by sharing Ad Revenue, among some other great features. Visit www.tallcat.com and sign up for the beta!

So dB and Noize2u, how have you guys been?

Hey Coolo, remember the JointRezonate Collab we did? Happen to have the files for that? The other night I was listening to it and would like to embellish a little...

Later

Actually this post could be moved to Talkin' Smack now that I think of it!

Dude!!!!

How have you been? I've been checking in on your website now and then and checking your myspace when I see you update stuff. If you using reverbnation you might want to have a look at T61 as well www.thesixtyone.com

A great place for indy artist to get heard and they are now aiding in selling as well. but its worth a look anyway.

As for me, I've been busy but good. Things dropped off here on the higher paying commercial accounts but the lwer paying indy artist and others have been steady. Little jobs keep me busy but arn't paying the bigger dollars. And many I do for free as I'm a sucker for that.

Tuna graduated and joined the army. He's heading for Korea in about a month and half. And Ray the youngest started guitar lesson's. Other then that its the same here.

I did the user reg for your beta under my real name. I was thinking of just putting in noize2u but figured I'd better not.

I may have those files in my archive from a remix attempt I never had time to finish. I'll check for them as the weekend gets close and let you know.

I'll head over to reverbnation as well and let you know what I think. I still have a few older mp3's from Beyond the Now in my older HRC collection as well.

Oh ya, I'll try and grab a banner from reverbnation and post it on my myspace and anywhere else I can drop it like facebook and the like.

mp3's are cool. I listened on their player.

But all it took was to hear Remembrance and I started looking for a link to buy the CD.

So let me know were I can get the CD cause that is some good freaking music. Ray was in here diggin it as well and asked who it was and were we can get the CD.

Watched the video's as well. Entertaining I will say. The studio looks good and it sounds like your staying busy there.

What's up chum. I'm off to check out your music. And oh yeah, I'll have to check for sure, but I'm pretty certain that I have the JointRezonate files. I really really dig that piece and am ashamed that I only did the simple *** drums on that track. Oh well, I got it started so that's something right. Anyhow, let me know the best way to get the files over to you.

I really like the bio, and the cover art for the band/album. The music is cool too. I dig. I really like The Hunger. Good job chum!

I've been doing good... some bumps and bruises in the business and real estate side of things, to say the least, but good.

Been gathering Round 2 investments for TallCat.com. Talking to Sprint and GM to provide a mobile/in-car version of it. I'll post more about it, but in essence it will focus on giving power, money, and independence to the artist. I believe that the traditional way of distributing music is dead and many sites are trying to change with the times but just aren't innovative enough, or have confusing navigation and poor implementation. Many young consumers (the ones with disposable income) choose not to buy music, or do so less often. Our goal is to solve that... by actually embracing that and Partnering up with Artists to put music on a pedestal again giving it value.

Still Producing Audio/Video... did some work for Dancing with the Stars (Video Game) and was cameraman/photographer/editor for a TV show here in Phoenix. Branching out into different forms of production and advertising.

Noize, Tuna went into the Army huh? I'm getting old. Thanks for the props on the tunes. You could by a physical copy of the CD at www.beyondthenow.com and make sure select the appropriate shipping type (not Local Pickup)

Coolo, yeah I think it's a cool piece too... nothing's stopping you from adding/changing things there. That's my plan at least... make it hit harder by supplementing some of the samples used, re-tracking some of the guitar, giving it a bigger sense of space and widening the image. Are you making fun of my use of the word "Chum"? ;)

Cool, I will be heading over there this weekend to order it. I'll remember to hit the right shipping choice.

On Tuna, ya who would have thought. He really went down hill hard for the last couple years of high school. In with a very bad crowd. But he got his **** together and his recruiter can take all the credit for him graduating high school. but now he is on a Patriot Missile battery and heading to Korea. I would never have thought that could happen.

On the JointRez thing. I'll be having some free time shortly here and would dig getting in on it as well.

*************
Coolo, you can use the ftp for the HRC P4C thing to transfer the files if you like. I would suggest putting them in their own folder and uploading that though in a .zip file.

Coolo,

A PT session and files is fine, or render everything in wav from the same starting point, hopefully on 1 on a 4/4 grid. Please make sure the bpm is included!

Noize, yeah jump in or we can just start on some new ish?!?!

Hey man, I'm kinda the newbie around here, but great stuff from Beyond the Now. It makes me want to redo my own vocals (again) :P Looks like you've got some good things brewing as well. I'll definitely check out TallCat.com soon as I get a chance. ReverbNation looks like a pretty good site too actually. I'll have to buzz around there a bit and see whats around.

Ha, I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure all the files everybody sent me were mp3s...I guess I can render them as waves so you can put them directly into PT, but you will only be getting mp3 sound quality. The only parts that will be truly waves are the drums.

Do you want me to upload them to Noize's FTP or do you have a more preffered way?

Oh, I also just signed up for the Tallcat Beta under bace135.

Hell yeah, El. The album sounds killer!

I think Dad thinks you're from Aussie. : p The bio is sweet, though! We did something similar once... but it was Antlantis-based. lol

Cool, I'm glad everyone is enjoying the music. We've worked really hard to get to this point and we have a lot more music to create. I'm working on 2 new pieces right now that we will offer as free downloads too.

It is good to reconnect with everyone.

Ya, its nice seeing you back here indeed.

Coolo and Rez. I may actually have wav files but I won't get to look at those storage drives until late tomorrow night or Saturday. I'll let you know.

I'll be very surprised if you have wav files and I don't..., but stranger things have happened...

Ya, I'm starting to think the only wav files I had for that one were for the drums only. But I'll know tomorrow when I pop the drive in to find the files.

The only one I have that is .wav besides the drum is the lead guitar part. Everything else is .mp3.

I checked the drive it should have been stored on and there is only a pre mix and a final mix. I am wondering if I moved it when I was consolidating drives. I'll have to check. But ya coolo, I'm pretty sure your right that the majority of the files were mp3.
