Splitting a monitor send - Is This Safe?

A newby here - sorry for the elementary question!

I have an unpowered mixer with a single 1/4" out for the monitor send. I have 4 floor wedges to power and a two channel amp to do it, 2 wedges chained together per side.

My question is ... how do I take a single 1/4" send from the unpowered mixer and split it so I can send it to both sides of the power amp? Is it as simple as having the right cable to do it (single male 1/4" to 2 male 1/4")? Would that cause a problematic signal level drop or potentially damage the amp? How would you do it?

When it comes to messing with my power amps, I'm hesitant to be experimental. Plus I need the gear working for gigs! I usually only run 2 wedges max.

Thanks for the help...

No, your fine to do so. This willnot hurt your amp or mixer, or even the signal.

They make a female 1/4" connection. You would use one that splits to 2 male 1/4" connectors.

I'll find a link for you. I think cables direct sells that cable.
