MIDI Control of Sequencer in Acid Pro 7?

Hello, and thanks for any help in advance! I run Acid Pro 7 as my sequencer and while I record live musicians often, I play MIDI instruments. I know that Acid allows for MIDI control of the VST's plugged into it, but I'm not sure how to control the sequencer in Acid directly.

My Edirol pcr-800 keyboard (picture: www.citraintirama.com/adm...rol_pcr800.jpg) has buttons for controlling sequencing on the right of the keyboard, such as buttons for stop, play, rewind, and record, but I'm not sure how to set up the control maps of the keyboard to manipulate the sequencer. Any suggestions???

What do you mean by manipulate? If its the start, stop and so on then that is going to be set up in Acids Midi Options section. I don't use it or have a manual for it but it may also be in the help section which should be the far right drop down menu at the top of the program screen.

The keyboard (PCR) has buttons for play, stop, record, and rewind (among others). I found a tab in the options called "External Control" and it seems to be what I'm looking for. I've figured out how to control the master volume using the faders on the PCR, but for some reason the "Learn" feature in ACID doesn't acknowledge any of the buttons above the pitch bend/modulation wheel (such as play, stop, rewind, and record!). So I'm not sure why ACID does "learn" from the faders on the PCR but not from these buttons.

Does the Edirol have any menu options on it? I am wondering if there is some assignment it has to have switched on to use those buttons. I know with my Axiom I have to tell each different control function what CC message I want it to send to Sonar. But as well Sonar has a huge set up for setting up control. And it can use templates I set up for different control set ups.

If I get some time this weekend I'll try and look up the manual for the Edirol and see if I can find something that might help you out.

Sorry for the time lapse here, I just recently discovered this forum's Subscribe feature lol. I'll check the manual out to see whether or not it has menu options. I'm not sure I've ever encountered them.

I have figured out how to control the volume of aspects of the mix that have audio channels, midi channels, etc. held within the sequencer. But Acid Pro doesn't seem to have same feature that makes CC messages correspond to track volumes for the actual Mixer...
