And pics can be had here:

heatherrossi.myphotoalbum...bumName=album04

I'll also upload some choice shots to my profile.
The desk works pretty well for holding all my crap too. I tried putting it on casters, but I guess I got the wrong kind because the weight of the desk and such kinda pops them out. I think I need to check Lowes and see if there's a better caster where the peg is centered more.

Anyhoo, I'll get some pics up now.

Looks nice indeed. I'll be down for a beer on Saturday. :-)

And ya, you gotta watch the caster's. I found some very cool but heavy duty ones at my local Music Go Round. Actually Ben found em and ordered them. They are as sturdy as the realy heavy duty ugle ones, but have the sleek slim chrome little dual wheel thing going on. And their holding up a 22 space rack with the Desk's PSU and a pair of not so light weight amps.

I checked out the slide show at the link and the place looks pretty cool from what you have up there.

Does that cat have one eye or was it winking?

Yeah the cat has one eye. Poor thing had a luxated lens where the lens becomes detach, and falls into the chamber. It was like that before she moved, but her vet didn't recognize the problem and just prescribed antibiotics. After Heather moved up, his eye got really cloudy suddenly. She took it to the kitty eye specialist here after she moved, and originally they were going to remove the lens because he still had vision. However, on the pre-op checkup, it turned out that he had lost his vision in that eye, so they removed it instead.

Sometime this weekend I think we're headed over to Morris, IL to visit the place where Heather's grandparents grew up. Doesn't look like it's that far. It's a little south of Aurora, which is where my uncle on my mom's side lives. Should be a good time. I don't know which day we're going yet though.

Ya, a nice drive after settling in is a good way to relax a bit. Its supposed to be a nice weekend.

Yeah, we're heading out Saturday morning apparently, and probably get back in the evening after hanging with her relatives. We're supposed to meet at the big truck stop on I-80 for lunch with her family.

We're living in Coralville, on 2nd St. not far from 1st Ave. Our apartment is above a bed/mattress shop. It's pretty quiet up here for the most part. The train nearby does make the whole building vibrate when it passes, but it's not noisy.

I think we're maybe about a 5min car ride from the University in Iowa City. Doesn't take me long to get downtown and parked in the public garage at all.

EDIT: nevermind, the Morris trip is canceled. Heather's great aunt Harriet maded the executive decision. I guess she has pains when thunderstorms roll through, and it looks like that's what's forecasted for the weekend.

Bummer on no trip.

Coralville, now I remember. An apartment above a shop. That is cool for sure. I would love to get into the artist quarter in Mpls. Renovated old warehouse space and the like. Old buildings with some really cool qualities for setting up a studio and the like.

LOL! God, but you guys crack me up. =]

Anyway, provided I can get my fiancee to drive me around, I'm always up for a bit of rum and coke, preferably Captain Morgan's. We may try for Morris next weekend provided the weather is decent. Just gimme a holler when you want to make the trip down.

My cell phone's minutes ran out and I have yet to get a new service, but Heather's thinking about getting a skype number set up for her laptop that we can use instead of a land line. Eventually I'll have a job, and manage to get a new service for my cell phone.

But yeah, just drop me an e-mail when and where. I'd be happy to meet up for a drink.

Edit/Update:
Well, we got the Skype phone set up on her laptop, so I have a phone number again. Problem is, they didn't offer any Iowa area codes, so we decided to go with a Gainesville, FL area code since my parents live down there, and it would be local for them. Just e-mail me if you need it.
