Just got the upgrade to DrumCore 3. This sounds GREAT. And it comes as a VST now too. Seems a bit easier to use. I may finally be able to record something, as drums have been my thorn in the side. If anyone has any tips to using DrumCore, EZdrumer please post. Anyone else checked it out and have an opinion.

Apr 30, 2009 10:45 pm is it now out? i'd like to get it. can you describe it in more detail? i'vev always been wary of using loops. but i assume you can program your own beats or use loops or use a mixture of the two, right? how are the rock and metal sounding drums?
Apr 30, 2009 10:58 pm DrumCore has always been a ghreat app...I wil warn you, I rather intoxicated right now, nut DrumCure has some reat loops from real drummers and is totally awesome in it's sound...
just sayin...

May 01, 2009 06:02 am im using EZdrummer and i really cant tell its software.
superior and core is even better than EZ so its must be killer.
May 01, 2009 09:53 am These sounds are about as realistic as I have heard, the rock sounds are killer! I've only had one evening of playing with it mostly just listening to sounds. But
you can switch kits around to different drummers, you can drop midi in on tracks, you can mix and match. This might even work for me and I am useless with drum software at this point.
May 01, 2009 10:03 am The program was $249, but the upgrade from DC 2 was only $50. So it was a sweet deal.

May 02, 2009 05:23 pm I've been using DrumCore for years and recently the VST KitCore.
And ya, the sounds are absolutely some of the best.
forty, yes you can combine midi and live loop sounds to get what you want.
Bluesdues, what exactly do you want to know about DrumCore?
May 03, 2009 06:03 pm Actually I don't have any specific questions. I guess I'm just thrilled to see a drum program that I might get some use out of. It seems like its a bit friendlier than some others for me. I was just fishing for tips when using it more than anything. I consider any info useful. Thanks

May 03, 2009 08:51 pm Yep, and with DrumCore you can essentially build your own custom kits and save them as well. That is fairly simple but can get pretty deep if you get into the velocity layers and such that make them sound more lifelike.
but it is one of the best all around type drum programs out there. And they have a huge collection of drummers and kits and styles.
