I didn't get to track this but a few guys in Florida with a band called "Mind of Solaris" www.myspace.com/themindofsolaris did. And I asked if I could do a mix of their song "Academic."

I think it turned out GREAT! If I can find the original (it might be on their MySpace) I'll ask you guys to compare and tell me what you think. :)

The songs in my profile. You know the drill. :D

Relax, a bit. We'll get to it in time. Hopefully I'll catch it in the next hour or so.

Its Easter weekend, I'm sure everyone is hiding Easter eggs for the big hunt tomorrow.

On first listen I hear a bit more verby sound in your mix. Could be the mp3 though. I'll work on matching the players levels a bit better tomorrow to get a clearer comparison. The myspace player is a bit louder then all the players I have my rig set to so I'll have to mess around a bit to get an honest comparison at the same level's.

Haha. Kewl. Thanks, brotha. I tried to keep mine more dynamic and keep some depth in the mix 'cause his is just all up front in your face type.

I like the cymbal tone, pretty crisp and smooth. Guitars sound nice and meaty. I also hear the overall verb, it's almost too much but almost not. Would have to listen on better speakers.

Thanks, guys. After listening from a few days off... I just wish I had better tracks to work with.

And yeah, I made it a little more "verby" cause they are kinda a spacey tone in general so, I want to keep that vastness as much as possible.

I think the tracks were pretty good. Maybe not perfect but really pretty good. I like the pinch more of crispness in your mix. Its really hard to tell a big difference but it is there. Your mix is a little more in your face I guess I would call it.

It sounds good but I do feel like it's a bit too 'verby' I guess. I just felt like the sounds were meshing together sometimes. But I do like the tunes a lot don't get me wrong, and if that's the sound you're going for then that's totally cool.

My friend had a band named Tear Wave and they had a real verby sound too which is what they wanted.

Really Cool time changes especially in Mind Fay. I listened to Cosmonaut, Mind Fay, and Air Atlantic.
