How do I refresh a networked drive on a Mac?

I have a Linksys router connecting my Mac and PC in the studio to help with ease of transferring of files. Most times when saving a file from the Mac to the shared drive it is ready almost real time on the PC. However, it does not work with the same efficiency when saving from the PC to the network drive when I go to open it up on the Mac. Sometimes I need to disconnect the network drive and reconnect on the Mac to get it to refresh. Is there a refresh function on a mac similar to "F5" on a Mac? Thanks.
