Maybe knowing exactly what you are trying to accomplish will help figure out how to get you hooked up. You realize that you have two DAW set ups with the PT rig and the MV8800 both be more then capable of recording and mixing. The MV can accept a mouse and full size monitor so you can mix and edit on that just like in PT if you want. Will you be needing or using the midi i/o at all for anything? Are you going to track on the MV and move it to PT? Or are you gong to track on both and sync them up? Are you only going to use the MV for beat making, then send it into PT?

If your going to want to monitor both PT and the MV at once? If so you are going to need some kind of mixer to send both outputs to in order to hear them both at once to the monitor's.

That's a lot of cash to invest and not know what your going to do with it.

But if you can answer some of the question's that will help get you going.
